Our Team
Jesse Stretch
Jesse is a lifelong landscaper and has farmed and grown plant material for over a decade. He founded Field Station Farms in 2008-9. As a first-generation farmer, Jesse focuses on native plants, upright evergreens, and also spends time grazing cattle. Large tree installations and custom digging plant material are some of his greatest passions. Jesse, his wife Laurabelle, and daughter reside on the farm, along with his brother Jacob and their many rescue dogs.
Jacob Stretch
Jacob Stretch is a nursery grower, through and through. He grows at work, and when he goes home, he grows in his experimental gardens. Jacob is the Nursery Manager at Field Station Farms, and has been with the farm for many years in various roles. Uniquely, he is also a formally educated master gunsmith. This rare and intensive education resulted in Jacob having expertise in all areas of craftsmanship and machining, which come in handy at the farm in many ways. At the nursery, Jacob manages teams in the field, and creates programs for plant health in our production stock. He is the go-to team member for filling orders and finalizing load lists. Jacob is a competition-level grower and understands and applies advanced sciences and nutrient systems to grow top-notch plants. He is the backbone of Field Station.
Leovaldo Roblero Gonzalez
Leo has been with the farm for many years and is an integral part of our operation. He manages teams in the field, organizes projects, and operates machinery. Leo manages the loading and unloading of trucks for regular deliveries, and also drives our teams where they need to go. Leo comes from a farming background and has great knowledge that he applies regularly to keep the nursery running smoothly. With a positive attitude and a lot of energy, he makes every day rewarding.
